Labour Brexit policy in chaos after suggestion entire frontbench could remain neutral in another referendum
LABOUR’S Brexit policy was left in chaos yesterday after Shadow Education Secretary Angela Rayner suggested the entire frontbench could stay neutral in another vote.
Leader Jeremy Corbyn has been mocked for saying he will not pick a side in a re-run.
Asked on the BBC’s Andrew Marr Show if a Labour government would back Leave or Remain, Ms Rayner said: “That’s a hypothetical.”
She added: “What Jeremy’s said, and he’s been very clear…is that only Labour is going to give people the choice.
“We’re going to negotiate a deal that puts jobs, consumer and environment protections first.”
Pressing her for clarity, Mr Marr said: “This is going to be the most unloved orphan offered to the British people ever.
“It’s going to be a referendum between staying inside the EU and an offer that nobody seems to be going to be speaking up for.

Nic nuke for Corb
NICOLA Sturgeon yesterday demanded Jeremy Corbyn scrap Britain’s Trident nuclear deterrent as the price for propping him up in power.
The SNP boss said axeing it is a “red line”. She said: “The billions of pounds required for it can be better spent.”.
Gary Mulvaney, Tory candidate for Argyll and Bute, said: “She wants to destroy the 11,000 jobs depending on Trident.”
Ms Sturgeon said Labour must also cough up billions, devolve new powers and allow an independence referendum.
