Image
THERESA MAY is preparing to splash the cash in Tory coastal resorts and Labour heartlands to secure her Brexit deal. A new “National Renewal” fund will be used to plough investment into areas such as Clacton and former mining communities across the North. Sources say the PM is prepared to give money to deprived constituencies to win support for her modified Brexit dealAFP or licensors And The Sun can reveal the PM is also preparing to unveil new primary legislation on workers’ rights and health and safety rules to win round trade union chiefs. Downing Street yesterday revealed it was putting together a new multi-million pound fund to revive deprived areas of the country. Insiders said the cash will largely go on new infrastructure, NHS projects and skills training. Pro-EU Labour MPs reacted with fury to the plans and accused No.10 of trying to ‘buy’ the votes of Leave-voting colleagues. Education bosses will lose right to check EU teachers after No Deal Brexit

Image
EDUCATION chiefs sparked fears for kids’ safety today by admitting they can’t screen foreign teachers working here if there’s a No Deal Brexit. Schools would lose access to an international database which flags banned teachers, at the end of March. Officials have revealed they don’t know how they will check potential teachers from the EU are safe to work with kids if we leave with No DealAlamy Teachers who are slapped with sanctions or restrictions on teaching in their home countries might not be flagged up after we go. That would leave schools to make their own checks when they hire staff from the EU – rather than using a Government scheme as they do now. Officials revealed today that they will update schools “shortly” on “keeping children safe guidance”. Sources confirmed to The Sun that EU citizens would face similar checks to those from... No Deal Brexit WON’T stop trade across the Channel, French port boss confirms

Image
FRANCE’S ports will be ready for a No Deal Brexit after turbocharging their preparations, the country’s harbours chief has announced. Vincent Pourquery de Boisserin said building works on new customs posts are underway and recruitment of 600 new staff has now been sped up. Cross-Channel ports are being prepared for a No Deal BrexitEPA He declared: “It’s a complete change of model. Everything must be thought through, designed and built. “Everything that needs to be done has been launched. My mandate is to make sure we are ready to face the most constraining situation.” Mr de Boisserin said ports were stepping up their efforts even further after warnings Tuesday’s votes in the Commons have made no deal more likely. Around 60 per cent of all goods and people moving between Britain and the EU go through the French harbours and the Channel Tunnel. Port authorities are hiring 580 extra customs staff who will initially work out of prefab buildings to cope with with increased ch...

Image
REMAINERS are flooding Facebook with hundreds of adverts to build support for a second Brexit referendum in the run up to key votes, The Sun can reveal. Millions of Brits have seen adverts pushed out by the People’s Vote campaign in a last-ditch attempt to try and keep us in the EU. Labour MP Cancels Local Brexit Meeting, Votes for Anti-Brexit Amendments

Image
Thu, 31 Jan 2019 16:22:31 +0000 On Friday Labour MP Cat Smith was due to hold a public meeting promising to discuss Brexit with her constituents, a majority of whom voted to leave the EU. The meeting was due to take place in one of the highest voting wards in her constituency… Writing on Facebook the evening before the meeting was due to take place, Smith said she had “been advised to cancel the event due to concerns over security… a decision about going ahead with meetings in Knott End and Lancaster will be made in the morning following further discussions with the police.” Strangely, Lancashire Police insist they had not advised Smith to cancel the event. Why did she imply they had..? Surely this abrupt cancellation of the meeting can’t be anything to do with the fact that three days later she voted for all the Second Referendum Campaign backed amendments… The post Labour MP Cancels Local Brexit Meeting, Votes for Anti-Brexit Amendments...

Mr Selmayr, right-hand man to European Commission boss Jean-Claude Juncker, told diplomats they shouldn’t strike “mini deals” with the UK. Chuka’s Local Party Making Deselection Moves This Evening

Image
Thu, 31 Jan 2019 14:01:12 +0000 Streatham Constituency Labour Party is this evening holding a special all member meeting to vote on whether future meetings should be switched from a delegate based ‘General Committee’ structure to an ‘All Member Meeting’ structure, whereby any member can vote – a move recommended by Corbyn’s ‘Democracy Review’. By switching to All Member Meetings with one member one vote, it will be a lot easier for the new influx of Momentum members to successfully move to deselect Chuka… But local left wing members are worried that the Blairite controlled local party executive are deliberately not publicising the meeting so that they can keep the General Committee structure and keep pro-Chuka control of the local party. The meeting was originally supposed to take place in November but was abruptly cancelled without a reason being given. Now the hard left are so worried that the meeting will be poorly atte...

Wollaston said that she would resign from the Conservatives if the Government ended up heading for no deal, even if it was by default rather than by design. Brexit could be DELAYED if Theresa May doesn’t cut a deal within a month, Jeremy Hunt admits

Image
BREXIT could be delayed if Theresa May doesn’t win her battle with Brussels quickly, Jeremy Hunt said today. The Foreign Secretary admitted Britain may NOT leave the EU on March 29 – even if we do manage to agree a deal. Jeremy Hunt has admitted Brexit may have to be delayed It’s the first time one of the PM’s inner circle has ever said that the Brexit date could be pushed back . Mr Hunt told the BBC’s Today programme that if Britain and the EU strike a Brexit deal in the near future. But if it takes more than a month then the scheduled Leave date could be postponed to give Parliament more time to pass crucial legislation needed to give it legal effect. Asked if there would be a delay, Mr Hunt said: “I think that depends on how long this process takes. “It is true that if we ended up approving a deal in the days before March 29, then we... No Deal Still Most Popular Brexit Option

Image
Thu, 31 Jan 2019 11:50:47 +0000 Despite a never-ending series of threats from giant EU-funded corporations and even warnings that 12,000 people will die from lack of fruit , the latest Sky Data  poll has found that No Deal is still the most popular Brexit option. When asked to choose between the three options, 39% of voters favoured no deal, ahead of 34% who supported May’s deal with the backstop removed, and only 27% who backed May’s original deal with the backstop. Almost three-quarters of voters prefer either no backstop or no deal… Voters also agreed by a margin of almost 3:1 that “people who say we should delay Brexit by extending Article 50 are… trying to stop Brexit entirely”. Lib Dems Accept David ‘The Jews’ Ward Back Into Party

Image
Thu, 31 Jan 2019 10:27:54 +0000 David ‘The Jews’ Ward has been accepted back into the Liberal Democrats, after he was finally sacked in 2017 for his “deeply offensive and antisemitic” comments. Despite this, Ward has in recent months been campaigning for the party. Previously the Lib Dems refused to kick him out when he said he would fire rockets at Israel , when he mocked the #JeSuisJuif hashtag at the time of the Kosher supermarket murders, ranted about “the Jews” on Holocaust Memorial Day, compared Israel-Palestine to the Holocaust, and  attacked the Home Affairs inquiry on anti-Semitism. It was only after Ward blamed the west for the murder of PC Keith Palmer, and wrote a 15,000 word thesis on “the influence of the Israeli lobby on the British political system” that he was finally booted out.  Given the Lib Dem’s refusal to crack down on him for years on end, perhaps it shouldn’t  come as too much of a surprise that ...
