Big-money Remainers flood Facebook with 900 anti-Brexit ads to convince Brits they should back so-called People’s Vote
REMAINERS are flooding Facebook with hundreds of adverts to build support for a second Brexit referendum in the run up to key votes, The Sun can reveal.
Millions of Brits have seen adverts pushed out by the People’s Vote campaign in a last-ditch attempt to try and keep us in the EU.
Some of the hundreds of adverts which have been put out this month on BrexitMost of the adverts feature Theresa May’s face on, and urge Brits to write to their MP now to demand a second Brexit vote to try and overturn the referendum result.
During January alone the campaign have put out 893 adverts, at an estimated total cost of between £27,000 and £202,000, figures from Storyful social intelligence news agency show.
At least three million people have seen the campaign’s adverts, but it could be as high as EIGHT million.
Slogans read: “Our country is in crisis” and “no more excuses” with a nudge to tell their MP to back a second divisive vote, or sign a petition.
And after this week’s Brexit votes they targeted MPs who voted for the deal, saying they opted to make the country poorer.
Many people are being targeted right down to their individual regions too.
Some of the ads were seen by more than one million people in a matter of days – which would have cost up to £50,000 to run.
