No Deal Brexit WON’T stop trade across the Channel, French port boss confirms
FRANCE’S ports will be ready for a No Deal Brexit after turbocharging their preparations, the country’s harbours chief has announced.
Vincent Pourquery de Boisserin said building works on new customs posts are underway and recruitment of 600 new staff has now been sped up.

“Everything that needs to be done has been launched. My mandate is to make sure we are ready to face the most constraining situation.”
Mr de Boisserin said ports were stepping up their efforts even further after warnings Tuesday’s votes in the Commons have made no deal more likely.
Around 60 per cent of all goods and people moving between Britain and the EU go through the French harbours and the Channel Tunnel.
